		<description>I couldn't agree with Brian more. There's something very clever about the Sun's use of cutting edge technology to create something so seemingly simple. As Brian says it's bringing RSS to the non-RSS user and by using Adobe Air is (hopefully) removing any other tech problems that an average reader might come across.</description>

I think this is pretty interesting.  Regular folks aren't using RSS.  Feeds are still a tool of the savvy -- and there are a lot of people in the world who will use the web, but will never set up Net News Wire.

This little desktop widget presents syndicated content in a way that a certain demographic of the non-savvy might find *ahem* sexy.

Sure, it's an appeal to the lowest common denominator, but I'm not sure that it's any more tasteless than the celebrity rubbish that's published in US newspapers every day.</description>
