Will write more about this soon, but yeah, I’ve got a new gig. Read about it at Poynter and Nieman Lab.
And we’re looking for a few good hackers. Please spread the word, and email brian@hackerjournalist.net.

CONGRATS DUDE!
Are you moving to DC?
Dear Brian, congratulations on your new gig.
I saw your presentations at both TechRaking 2012 at Google headquarters and ISOJ 2012 at UT Austin. My reason for writing is I run a small nonprofit for investigative reporting in Austin, Texas, and I’m trying to learn to better use data for my journalism projects. I just started reading “The Data Journalism Handbook” and ran across your few pages in Chapter 2 that state, “We help reporters … turn pdfs back into spreadsheet.” I’ve been trying to find just such a solution. Please tell me how?
